Children Are People, Inc. (CAP) is a Gallatin based after school mentoring and tutoring program for at risk students. Because CAP is a 501(c)3 organization receiving no federal nor state funds, each donor is greatly appreciated! Members of St. Luke AME church in Gallatin have financially supported CAP for several years.

The founder of CAP, Fred Bailey, had the vision 8 years ago to tutor and mentor students in order to develop better academic achievements and to provide extracurricular activities with a goal to grow citizens who are contributing to their community. Success is occurring at CAP - students are excelling academically, having opportunities to learn of career options and participating in summer camp, scouting programs, and cultural events in the area. Sixty students have been enrolled this school year. More about CAP can be learned at www.capinctn.org or phoning Mr. Bailey at 230-5702.
